LA City Council Debate & Vote Delayed
December 1st, 2009 | by Don Duncan |The Los Angeles City Council will not consider a draft ordinance regulating medical cannabis at their meeting on Wednesday, December 2, as previously announced. City Councilmmebers are delaying discussion and a possible vote on the ordinance until next Tuesday, so they have time to review dozens of amendments and new language from the City Attorney’s office.
Medical cannabis supporters may choose to speak during the public comments portion of the meeting tomorrow, but Americans for Safe Access (ASA) will be asking Agelinos to come back to council chambers en masse on Tuesday, December 8. Look for a reminder and news about that meeting later this week.
