ONDCP Chairman: States doing a good job
July 30th, 2010 | by Don Duncan |In response to an article by John Ellis in the Sacramento Bee, CA NORML Director Dale Gieringer asks, “Could it bode an auspicious shift in federal policy? Are the feds ready to change the law so as to support, rather than undermine local control of marijuana?”
Mr. Ellis quotes ONDCP Chairman Kerlikowske: “Kerlikowske, however, pointed to how state and local jurisdictions have dealt with the state’s legalization of medical marijuana, saying they are ‘doing a really good job of licensing, land use, those kind of regulations’…”
